Get Involved!
Join us! WNPR is always looking for volunteers. We offer a hands-on educational experience with native plants, shrubs and trees in their natural habitats. You can make a difference in promoting awareness of the value of native plants. There are a number of ways to get involved, including:
- Identifying and transplanting native shrubs and wildflowers from natural sites about to be developed
- Designing and planting a garden using local source native plants
- Sustainably maintaining native plant gardens, including learning responsible pest control
- Helping track developments and potential rescue sites
- Scouting sites to establish new native gardens or restoration projects
- Sharing the message of rescue with your family, friends, coworkers and civic organizations
- Donating pots or other tools and materials
Please browse our Past Projects to get an idea what type of work we have been involved in. If it interests you, check out our Current Projects and Planned Projects for any projects that you could volunteer work on.
